new song!

Hello blog I’m hungry right now and really itchy. I think I need to clean my bedsheets or something. Today, I only ate a beef + eggplant + rice dish, and bread that was half filled with custard and the other half with chocolate creme. The Japanese are very innovative because the cremes were separated, you could eat one half at a time. And, it was only 89円 ($0.56). Although I’m hungry, I don’t want to go out right now. I’ll just eat tomorrow.

This was the most fun I’ve had making a song. I know it’s not really a replayable type song, but I really like it because I feel things. Also, instead of being inspired by a genre or a song I like right now, I based it off things I am going through in this period in my life. I was thinking about my emotions throughout being in Japan. Because I feel so out of place here, I lean on the internet to provide me a community I feel accepted in, but in that, I’m inadvertently doing harm to myself. This is what this song is based on. I’m pretty proud of all the electronic sounds I created in this song. The beginning sounds like a computer startup or something. It is not a sample. I MADE THAT! Isn’t that cool? The musical part after reminds me of driving to the airport at night when it's raining. The middle part with the vocal chop makes me think of when I'm walking around Osaka and my anxiety exponentially grows, leading into the last part when I finally get overstimulated and I can't help but scroll on the internet. I made the transition very short and abrupt to represent how easy it is to enter that space of mind. You literally just click a button and hours are wasted.

I love not being bound by the time signature or tempo of a song. It allows for me to express myself different ways.


anyway, I really didn’t process this song at all so I might post a different version in the future when I’ve actually EQed everything.
