OSAKAN WEEKEND

2026.04.12

Something whack just happened. I’ll explain it in sequential order:

  1. Lost my key
  2. Began panicking
  3. Looked all around room
  4. Emptied all my bags
  5. Prayed to saint anthony
  6. As soon as I turned around, it was directly on the table in the most obvious position.

Saint anthony is the best.

WALKING-AROUND MILLENIAL MUSIC (音楽)
While walking around Osaka, I’ve been listening to this song from skins on repeat:

If you can't see this video, it is "Making me Nervous" by Brad Sucks.

When I’m listing to this kind of music, I like to pretend I’m a hipster in 2012 wielding an in-house bean roasted coffee while donning a knitted scarf and combat boots. *sigh* if only...

YAKINIKULIKEY
I went to a yakiniku place. Yakiniku is a solo Korean BBQ, so each person has their own grill. It’s cool but terrifying since the flames, particularly on my grill, were so vicious. It was like I signed up for a lesson to tame the flame or be a ringleader or something like that.

This video doesn’t prove my point, but later into the experience was when I truly I had to learn the way of fire. You can call me “The Flamestress” now if you want. It’s my new BURNER name (PUN INTENDED!)

Anyway, this was a very short post since I have nothing else to talk about except for skins which I’m sure NO ONE wants to read… *sigh*... I wish someone would express how much they want to see my opinions of skins…

SKINS YAP
Actually, I WILL talk about skins because this is MAYA’SMIND™ and MAYA’SMIND™ is a place of FREEDOM!

Skins is a good show if you haven’t watched it. It’s about a bunch of British teenagers in the same social circle, and every episode centers around one person of the group. I just finished the episode about Naomi who turned out to be shamefully gay, which was a fun twist because the girl she’s in love with is openly gay.

The thing about skins is that everyone is always hooking up with one another. Like, I don’t think there’s been a single episode without an intimate scene, even with the people you’d never expect together like the openly gay girl + the autistic guy. I guess 2008 British teenagers were crazy like that.

Today I’m going to Osaka castle! I’m intrigued but also nervous since there’s probably going to be loads of people. I’ve learned that I don’t like being surrounded by hundreds of people. Wait… Don’t tell me… Maybe the suburbs is… truly where I belong? Or a ranch where I own four ponies and we all picnic together and I braid their tails, or we just hang. That would actually be heaven.

じゃね!
