I’m gonna be an Osaka Dj

2026.06.17

Dear blog, I am so gonna miss Osaka. Its slowly becoming apparent to me that everything that I’ve built here in Osaka I'll be leaving behind. I might be in this mood because this guy is playing the most beautiful guitar and singing with the most beautiful anime voice, but no matter the case I feel sentimental and sad. I don’t want to leave my classmates. Heck, I don’t want to leave the Japanese people. Instead, I will list everything I am grateful for in preparation of… letting go… *sniffle sniffle*

I’m genuinely so grateful for the life I’ve been given. Everyday has been hard, but just so fricking fun.

THANKS, CHRISTINA!
I have been more comfortable with the fact that we are more than how we are initially perceived. I’ve spent so long thinking about how I want others to see me instead of what role I play in the universe.

You know what, I’ve been listening to a lot of 2000-2010 music, including Christina Grimmie. This week, someone said something about Christina Grimmie and I was like “wait.. that name rings a bell…” Yup. I’m sure at some point in my childhood, I knew her + her story. If you don’t know who she is, she’s a singer songwriter who sung pop song covers + made her own music. She’s so cool, like the girl I imagine when I think of the 2010’s. She got shot at a meet and greet, then died the same day. It was pretty big since she was only 22, super talented, super kind and beautiful, probably the last person you expect to be murdered. I’m pretty sure I was affected by this as a yougin’ because when I remembered, I felt childishly sad. As a semi-adult, I don’t really feel sad the same way my child self did maybe because I have more access to things including mental awareness. For example, every time I’m done hanging out with my family now, I’m don’t want to cry anymore; I instead feel satisfied. I can make more sense about the unfortunate things that occur. Though, this Christina Grimmie event brought me right back to the times I’d feel so, so much. Anyway, I really love her music + her style so I’ve been listening a lot. I’m really inspired by her. She's inciting some kind of loving spirit that isn't dependant on how I look or feel in the moment; I just feel okay being me. I also notice that living in Japan is like a room of mirrors. If you don't understand that, I'll explain it later maybe.

DJ IN J-PAN?
Blog, I want to become more serious about becoming a DJ or producer so I can come back to Osaka or somewhere else in Japan and make it a living to dance crazily and play even crazier music. I will start planning for this reality soon. I’m so happy I’m gonna be going to the East coast since most of the people I enjoy listening to are East coasters.

OK blog. I’m gonna go take a bath and watch love island since it’s really important. My brother so badly wants me to watch love island so we can talk about it, so I will do it. Oh god, I’m crying now listening to dubstep. I love dubstep. Also, I accidentally told Kawato sensei I wanted to marry her today. It was so sweet because after I said super and became super red-faced, she said “its also okay to want to marry me.” I will miss her the most out of all the senseis since she was the cutest. じゃね!
